OFA Good (GS-50169G27M), Elbows OFA GS-EL10570
"Czar" is a black and red working line German Shepherd Dog. Czar carries extreme drive in all three phases. Czar went from SchH I WDA National Champion (276) to SchH III USCA North Central Regional Champion in the summer of 1998. Czar has V rated in every phase as a SchH III. Czar's SchH III score was a 288 and has competed at 7 national events and at three regional championships. His obedience is high drive. His protection work is awesome to behold. Always full grips, his attention and intensity on the helper never wavers. At the 1999 Regional, Czar's power was evident as he flipped the helper during the escape. He almost repeated that performance at the 1999 Nationals. Czar is a calm, intense tracker with a perfectionist work ethic. In the fall of 2003, Czar obtained his FH title with an impressive score of 99, earning the title of Mid-Central Regional FH Champion. He competed in his final "retirement" trial at the 2004 North American FH championships. He skillfully and calmly worked his track with a score of 87 points ~ not bad for a 9 year old dog that trained in a cold 30-50 degree Wisconsin spring then traveled to high 80- 90 degree heat in Georgia for the competition. Czar's working ability comes from his potent pedigree. He is a son of Buck von der Pfalz (multiple times National Champion and world team dog, 1991 world vice Seiger). He also possess in his pedigree Ilja aus dem Schwarzen Zwinger, Seigo v. Angerholz - some of the most prominent East German working lines. Czar also carries Arek vom Stoffelblick, Norbo vom Haus Marterstock, Gildo vom Korbelbach. Czar is line bred Anderl Kleinen Pfahl (4-4), Mutz Pelztierfarm (5,5-5). On Saturday morn, Sept. 9, Czar died while Karolyn and I were up at the Regional Championships. He was 11 1/2 years old. Czar was my puppy his whole life from the age of nine weeks to the end. His accomplishments were in spite of my incompetence. He was 13 times SchHIII (288) SchHI National Champion North Central Region SchHIII Champion Mid Central Region FH Champion (99 points) Multiple times National SchHIII competitor. Czar's career ended at 5 1/2 years old from a back injury he suffered doing the sport he loved. He survived that injury and his heart carried him on for 6 more years. I learned so much from him and I especially want to thank Russ for helping me realize what a great dog he was while we were training. I have a lifetime of memories that Czar gave me. Czar's greatest title was when my nine year old dog took my eight year old daughter and showed her how to track on their way to a 99 point TR-1 track. I have pictures of that that I will always treasure. Czar didn't stop teaching after his schutzhund career ended. One of his greatest gifts to me is that he taught Kirk and Jessica how to love animals and care for them. They held Czar in their arms and cried for him as he died. I wish I could have been there for him too.
