Earning the barn name of "Porsche" at home
due to her attitude and style, we feel she is the epitome of a Hackney Horse.
Spectacular NATURAL movement, 16+ hands, and a lively but sensible temperament.
Porsche was
not broke to ride when we purchased her but had a very successful career in the
Hackney Horse show circuit as a driving horse. She ended her show career
undefeated as a driving horse. After only a few sessions under
saddle, she was able to take on a two hour trail ride on one of the most
difficult trails in the state - with an 11 year old very novice rider.
Complementing her brilliant and exciting show horse career, Porsche has
done a a fabulous job "toning things down" while she plays the
role of an undefeated 4H horse, babysitter in lead line classes, and trail
horse. For the more experienced
rider who knows what to ask, she is an absolute thrill to ride.
She
has been a wonderful mother for her foals. They are upright and have her
quality of motion and easy to work with temperament.
